Installation of ESX 4 inside of VMware Workstation
I have done a new video with VMware Workstation 7 this time. Now the New VMware Workstation can allow you to Install VMware ESX 4 server inside without any modifications to the VMX configuration file. Like this you can test an installation of an ESX server without having a server hardware.
So with this little video you’ll see how easy it is when you installing virtual ESX 4 inside of VMware workstation 7. You can download a free trial of VMware Workstation here. Upgrade to VMware Workstation 7 for only $99.00 – Upgrade Now!
The best way is to watch full screen. This video is in HD…

Not the same because VMware ESX as an OS, all the config necessary is automatically selected. (like 2gig RAM etc..)…..-:)
Ok Besides that
it's about the same.
Hi ,
Have a question, If esx 4 installed in Ws7 (with 2 virtual NIC’s in Ws7) after installation will these virtual Nic’s come up as 2 physical adapters(not physical in real sense) when administering the esx via vsphere client. I tried this 2 nics shows up during esx install but after install I cannot do a ping to the esx host. Can you point out where I am going wrong.
Thanks
ragesh
Make sure that those 2 nics are used as a “bridged” option in Settings for this ESX 4 VM…. -:) That’s more likely the cause..
