Vizioncore releases new version of vOptimizer Pro and vFoglight

Vizioncore is known for the backup solutions like ESX Ranger, but not only. They just released a new version of vOptimiser Pro and vFoglight. It seems that everybody now is putting the small “v” in front of the product just to make sure that everybody understand that the product is for vSphere…. -:). So what Vizioncore can do for you to help managing your Virtual Infrastructure?

vOptimiser Pro – Vizioncore’s storage and VM optimization tool

The main features are:

  • Infrastructure Scanning
Locating and determining the amount of unused virtual storage across the virtual infrastructure enables the customer to see exactly how much storage is being wasted. Furthermore, the product can estimate the total potential savings gained from reclaiming wasted storage and generate a report for use within the business
  • Support for VMware vSphere 4.0
  • Support for Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (32/64bit)

vOptimizer Pro right-sizes (shrinks) VMs to reclaim the over-allocated storage. This automated process enables customers to use their existing storage more efficiently and cost-effectively. Also, vOptimizer Pro can locate and fix (enlarge) VMs that are running out of storage – effectively preventing painful and costly VM outages.

vOptimizer Pro can now perform Windows 64K partition alignments to the newly sized VMs. This patent pending process increases I/O throughput and reduces latency. This 64k partition alignment operation can significantly improve VM performance.

vFoglight - is a best-in-class virtualization management solution that provides performance monitoring, capacity planning, and chargeback to help organizations mitigate the impact of resource sharing, optimize resource utilization, and recover infrastructure costs.
