vSphere 4.0 quick start guide – some bonus to get…
There is a little “bonus” download, in case you missed that. A pocket guide which I’m now holder, vSphere 4.0 Quick Start Guide, which had been released few weeks ago, is now available in PDF version too. In case you prefer the PDF version you can buy it instead of paper copy. It’s 9.99$ for the PDF version and 19.99$ for paper version. But the paper copy is so handy, so small that it goes just fine in the pocket.
So in the bonus download there are actually All the scripts being used in the book in the Power CLI section (there are 67 scripts). Those scripts can be downloaded for Free, but if you want some explanations what and how I won’t say much more about that here…..

I just started to look in it, but there is so much informations, so I’m carrying it always with me for cases when I’m stuck in the traffic or waiting before a meeting starts. There is always some time just pick it up and read, and it’s obvious advantage is it’s small size. Great job guys…. 
I highly recommend.
With that said, vSphere Quick Start Guide might your book to carry around too. It’s not destined for beginners though, since the authors goes directly in the deep dive topics.
If you just starting with Virtualization and learning through the basics and trying to understand the concepts and the functions, I higly recommend Trainsignal’s best video learning course – Trainsignal vSphere Training with David Davis as a instructor. It’s been reviewed several times on my website and I found that since I started the learning process until today when I’m VCP 4, those videos are still valuable to me and I can always re-watch a parts where I want refresh some stuff. . There are also iPod and mp3 audio files included to carry with you.
