vSphere Video Training from Train Signal – my first look

My first look on the VMware ESX vSphere Video Training.

VMware ESX vSphere Training from Train Signal

UPDATE: there is an additional course available called vSphere Pro Training vol.1 , which will teach you VMware View, Thinapp, and Cisco Nexus 1000v distributed switches… Purchased together you save 100$. See on this post.

I just received the new Video Training Course for VMware vSphere from Train Signal. This makes me very exiting since VMware vSphere has been out since few months but this is the first, and the best… -:)  video learning course available on the market today. I just started exploring the videos, but I’m gonna watch them one by one.

VMware vSphere Virtual Infrastructure is a way long ahead from their competitors with its consolidation ration about Twice as greater than the competition. Consolidation ratio for me is a “how many VMs per physical server”. This makes greater value for the end user and customer, because for the same money he will get more power, and save more money on a server hardware…

What you gonna get when you purchase the package?

David Davis, the instructor, covers even some of those advanced functionalities like Fault tolerance, great new feature of vSphere 4. FT is an ultimate protection for a virtual machine.

Not only you’ll get 3DVDs packet with 18 hours of video from David Davis, but also, and this is new from Train Signal this year: Together with your purchase you also get FREE Downloadable updates to the vSphere Training video Series!  That means that every time David does a new video (and there will be new videos, David has confirmed it to me), you will be able to download it FOR FREE as a BONUS !!! Watch a free video now!!

Rick Scherer from VMware Tips was the Technical Editor on those Video Series !!!

Rick SchererRick is instructor and vExpert and he has obtained his VCP in 2006. Since than  he has designed and maintains a 25 VMware ESX 3.5 farm of which hosts well over 300 Virtual Machines and includes many mission critical applications including SAP Netweaver.

Rick is also recently passed his VCDX Exam. VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert) exam is an ultimate exam from VMware.

David Davis is covering over 36 different topics. On a side note, I know that you’ll really enjoy this video series….why do you ask? Because I was the Technical Editor on this video series, so I know you’re getting quality. This video training series gets the VMnut Stamp of Approval!

New Training VMware ESX vSphere from TrainSignal

As for myself I jumped into the VMware learning with VMware ESX 3.0 and 3.5 and the courses for ESX 3.5. The video learning courses from Train Signal for ESX 3 has helped me to actually see all the how-to do stuff and why. I really can’t wait to see all those new videos now to start learning vSphere.

The advantage of package like this is that you got everything inside and you can learn on your own pace. With the iPod and MP3 files included it’s just more fun to learn.

With the new vSphere courses I hope to be able to prepare correctly to pass my VCP exam. I know that it will not be easy and also that I’ll have to attend a VMware Online Class or the instructor lead class to be able to pass my VCP exam.

But became VCP is becaming a necessity with the economy where there is more and more competition to get a decent job. With the VCP exam in hand it would be much easier. I’l be able to demonstrate my VMware expertise to my current employer and to my customers. So a purchase of training from Trainsignal is for me an Investment. Investment in my carreer.

If you’re still hesitating to buy video learning courses you should know that since the course just came out few days ago, there is a special offer from Train Signal to ESX Virtualization Readers. You will be able to get 25$ off from the regular price until the 7th of September 2009. If you use this coupon code : VSPHERE25
