Wrap up video from Tech Field day

I really liked this wrap up video from Tech Field Day.

Wrap up videos usually shows what the atmosphere was during an event. I think this one video which comes from Tech field Day, made by Stephen Fosket, is the one I really liked.  Not only the quality and the sound are perfect, but the The technology talk through the video is made with some great sense of humor from Gabrie Van Zanten.

The event is sponsored by vendors, but the people attending the event does not have any obligation to publish only nice polished posts about it.

The event was sponsored by quite a few sponsors like vKernel, NetApp, Symantec, Embotics, Zerto, VMware,  and Solarwinds.

The technology seems to be the leitmotif around the event. Discuss on technology, learn new stuff. The event brings some great feedback to the vendors since they realize how important is to listen to users.

To introduce new features and enhancements in future releases of products.

The intro into this video is made by Bryan Semple from vKernel.

Enjoy.. -:).

I embed another video from Zerto which is a company to watch out….You can replicate anything to anything. The replication is made on a VM level….

A quick quote from Techfield day’s blog:

The Zerto solution is unusual in that it is implemented entirely in software and thus supports any storage array hardware. Like many virtualization specific backup applications, Zerto’s disaster recovery solution is fully integrated with hypervisor management tools and enables automated testing prior to an outage or recovery. To be sure, other vendors are working on similar technology, but the Zerto solution appears well architected and the background of the Zerto team is impressive.

You can read a great write up about he technology on Gabe’s blog here.
