VMware toolbar updated with really cool features

VMware Toolbar gets better and better. Since the launch of VMware toolbar last year the little Add-on for Firefox gets better and better. This Add on for Firefox has many features and you have all the necessary informations, access to the documentation, downloads, support and communities, all this at your fingertips.

The latest update of VMware toolbar added 3 little colored buttons on the toolbar which gives you faster access to the main learning resources from VMware. For example clicking to the orange button gives you access to the thee support blogs: Support Insider, KB Digest, and KBTV. And when you click on the Green (TV) button it brings up a fast access to the VMware KB TV.

Actually, it brings up a new window which does not actually opens a browser window, but it opens a window on the top of your current page. This gives you the possibility to keep the current content visible and have an access to the latest videos from VMware KB.

There is also possibility to configure other options on the toolbar, like e-mail notification. You can add your e-mail account to be checked every 10 min without the necessity to keep your e-mail client opened all the time. You're notified by default sound, but you can even put your own sound file to play when the e-mail arrive to your mailbox.

Some of you might say that it's a useless gadget…. but the organization of the toolbar makes it productive and with for example having useful links organized, you don't have to google for the solution, but just click in the Support section of the toolbar and click on the “File a support request”…..  You can also check the current support requests from there or find out “How to submit a support request with VMware”.
