Top Virtualization Blog 2013 Results – my thoughts

This year's Top Virtualization Blog 2013 competition was even more crazy than last year. With many new blogs out there, many new bloggers who did a great job this year and made it to the Top 25 blogs. My blog moved up to 16th place -:) which is incredible with all those quality blogs out there. I'm on the “podium” – on the 3rd place as an Independent Blogger (Independent bloggers don't work for a vendor). Check out the full results at vSphere-land.com

VladanThanks everyone for the support and the votes! Congratz to all participants, to all TOP 25 bloggers and Eric Siebert who did all the hard work and counted all those votes. The way I see it for next year? I think that even more bloggers will get involved with even stronger competition.

If you thinking that it's not for you, and you think that it's fairly difficult to make it to the TOP 25 during let say the first year, I can tell you that it not might be truth, since there were 4 new blogs who made it to the TOP 25 as a NEW bloggers!

If you don't know much about the technique, from time to time, I'm trying to share some of my experience in blog posts talking the optimization, security, plugins around WordPress on my WordPress Tips page.

Yes, I think it's great stimulation to have an annual event for all Virtualization Bloggers out there. It's a recognition of all the work that has been done through the year, and it's the audience, the readers who decides which blog is good and which blog isn't. Not a jury or judges…

I can tell you, if you planning (seriously) to start a blog, running a blog is daily job. If you don't have passion and want just to start a blog to be recognized in the industry, or other reasons, you will fail. Read How-to create sucesfull blog.

Here is the Must SEE video done together by Eric, John, David and Simon
