VMware has released vCenter Operations Management 5
The product has been announced and released already few days ago, but I was quite busy with my VCP preparation and studies, so I haven't been able to cover this release yet. Now when I passed my VCP 510 (you can read my experience on this post: Ressources to prepare your VCP exam – VCP 510) , I'm able to take look at the release and the different versions, pricing and packaging…
The product suite is composed from 4 products – VMware vCenter Operations Manager, VMware vCenter Infrastructure Navigator, VMware vCenter Configuration Manager and VMware vCenter Chargeback Manager.
The Capacity IQ product has been discontinued as it's part of the suite now.
There are 4 editions of the whole suite – the first 2 versions contain only the vCenter Operations Manager product, you'll be able to see a picture with different versions later in this post.

Then the Entreprise and Enterprise plus versions, they brings the other products included in the suite….. vCenter Infrastructure Navigator, vCenter Chargeback Manager and vCenter Configuration Manager.
The Standard and Advanced products are licensed and packaged per VM with pack of 25 VMs. The standard sells for $1,250 USD and the Advanced sells for $3,125 USD. The pricing also depends on the duration of the support – 1 year support is included, but you can buy Production (24×7 for Severity 1 issues) 3 Year Support as well.
The Enterprise edition starts at $4,875 USD. The enterprise plus you must get in touch with your local VMware Partner.
